Description:
QA, Quality Assurance, Supervisor, Food, HACCP, GMPs, Food Safety. This position is with a global, diverse, family-friendly corporation where you can make a difference! This is a 2nd shift, weekly position (no weekends). The QA Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the QA Manager in implementing company standards to ensure conformity with quality specifications for the finished food product. Duties include:
• Responsibility for all quality assurance functions;
• Monitoring plant operations to assure sanitary operations procedures according to GMPs;
• Assisting in developing product specifications;
• Ensuring that plant audit procedures are properly carried out;
• Daily sampling and inspection of incoming ingredients;;
• Assisting with third party and customer audits;
• Assisting in auditing the Food Safety/HACCP program;
• Assisting with training team members in all departments on quality topics such as GMPs, Allergens, HACCP, etc.;
• Performing Environmental Pathogen/Micro Swabbing.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree is required; Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Food Science preferred.
Required skills:
• 2+ years quality experience in a food processing environment with supervisory experience;
• Knowledge and experience in food safety, sanitation, HACCP, GMPs ;
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to train others;
• Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills;
• The ability to implement change, motivate others and encourage team development;
• Computer skills in MS Office applications and AS400, XPEC, Lotus Notes, SAP or similar programs.
