Manager of Business Development ** Midwest Region
The iConnect Group, based in Reston, VA provides customized software solutions and tactical tools designed to afford our customers a competitive edge in their respective markets. We are preparing to introduce our new Transportation rating and bidding software into the Midwest market and are looking for a Chicago based sales professional to be our point person.
The Manager of Business Development will develop business opportunities by calling on 3PLs, Transportation Consultants, Brokers and Traffic Managers at manufacturing and distributing companies in Chicagoland and the greater Midwestern region. Duties will include: prospecting, cold calling, product demonstration, sales presentations and interfacing with marketing and Senior Management to develop client pricing, finalize licensing agreements, secure signed contracts and schedule implementations with new customers after closings.
The successful candidate for this position should possess the following attributes: * Bachelor 's degree * Excellent communication skills * User proficiency with Microsoft Office and Go to Meeting software * Self discipline and leadership qualities necessary to meet sales objectives * Ability to source new customers and close sales * Results based self confidence, tenacity and determination to succeed * Transportation or logistics experience is a plus!
